1 man injured, 1 dead after Henley Way shooting

A shooting on the 9200 block of Henley Way in Sacramento left one man injured and another man dead.

SACRAMENTO, Calif. — Update: Oct. 19 11:20 a.m.

Two men in their 20's were shot during a shooting on Henley Way. One reached reach stable condition at the hospital, but the other died at the scene.

Sacramento County Sheriff's deputies went to 9200 block of Henley Way around 10:30 p.m. on Friday night after they were told about shots being fired in the area and someone being shot.

Deputies found two men with gunshot wounds to the upper body on the street. One of the victims was unresponsive.

Fire personnel pronounced that man dead at the scene while the other victim was taken to the hospital. 

According to the sheriff's office, witnesses saw two people leave the area on foot after the shooting. Deputies are unaware of a motive at this time.

A spokesperson for the sheriff's office said one person has been shot.

The shooting happened on the 9200 block of Henley Way.
