PG&E power shutoffs 2019 | Maps and outage information

Thousands of PG&E customers are without electricity as the company attempts to avoid starting any wildfires with their equipment.

SACRAMENTO, Calif. — Pacific Gas & Electric Company [PG&E] started shutting off power to customers in parts of Northern California and the Bay Area just after midnight on Wednesday.

Nearly 800,000 PG&E customers are expected to be without electricity at some point during the power shut-off.

Counties that could be affected throughout the power outage include: Amador, Butte, Calaveras, Colusa, El Dorado, Glenn, Humboldt, Lake, Marin, Mendocino, Napa, Nevada, Placer, Plumas, Shasta, Sierra, Solano, Sonoma, Tehama, Trinity, Yolo, Yuba, Alameda, Alpine, Contra Costa, Mariposa, San Joaquin, San Mateo and Santa Clara.
